My Debut Collection is Coming in 2021!

Those Fantastic Lives, my debut collection of stories, will be hitting bookshelves in 2021! Like anyone would be, I’m stoked for this journey. I’ve worked on these stories for the past seven years, beginning back in my mid-20s. Some of them helped me get through some dark days. To have my work of weird, wistful stories put together as a collection is something special.

Those Fantastic Lives is connected through various tender explorations of home, belonging, and masculinity. In my title story, a young boy tries to understand the psychic world his grandmother exists within. In another, light-craving monsters try to remove all the remaining goodness. In some of the other stories, there are talking dolls who aid a boy in an apocalyptic world, emailing werewolves who find out just how difficult families can be, healing aliens who come to save humanity, flying folks trying to get to some place that’s better than here, and much, much more.

I’m incredibly grateful to Hannah, Marti, and the team at City of Light Publishing for making all of this possible. I look forward to working with them and bringing this book to life.
