A Great Week Begins

This week has been a pretty awesome one, and it’s only Monday. Blurbs have started rolling in for my upcoming collection, and they are so generous and thoughtful. I’m just incredibly grateful to have writers who I teach saying such kind things about my work. Their support helps keep me going. I’ll share the blurbs very soon.

Also, our Common Read program has kicked in high gear at Calhoun Community College. The wonderful Thi Bui (author of the widely-acclaimed The Best We Could Do) has been on campus today, and she’ll be back tomorrow for a big lecture event. This program has seen much success in its first year, and to have someone as talented as Thi on campus is really cool.
