New Story at Crow & Cross Keys

I don’t know how normal it is for a writer to have favorite stories from their own catalog of work, but “What They Left Behind” is near the top of my favorite stories. I’m really proud of it each time I go back through it. It’s an allegorical story, for sure, and it is about love and transformation. Children start developing wings, and humans respond. That goes about how you’d expect.
